Deanna Schwake, certified nurse midwife, provides comprehensive gynecologic and obstetric health care to women of all ages, including complete prenatal, delivery and post-natal obstetrical care. Schwake earned her master of science in nurse-midwifery from Marquette University. She received her bachelor of science in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Schwake has a massage therapy diploma and prenatal massage certification from the Blue Sky Educational Foundation in Grafton, Wis.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Meeting patients and being part of their family taking care of them and their pregnancies.
What sort of blogs/news channels do you follow?
The pioneer woman blog. I also love watching the Food Network and History Channel.
If you weren’t a doctor, what would your dream job be?
Professional ballroom dancer or something with horses.
Where did you grow up/where is your family from?
I grew up in Kewaskum and my family still lives in the house I grew up in.
