Shannon Koss

Shannon Koss is a physician assistant with Affinity Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. She provides personalized orthopedic care with a special interest in joint replacement. Shannon received her bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She completed her physician assistant training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

1. What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

My hobbies are reading, spending time outdoors (camping, sports), cooking with my husband and playing with my two young daughters.

2.  What is your favorite thing about your job?

I enjoy the gratification of improving someone’s quality of life by joint replacement. I love having my patients tell me stories about activities they are able to do once again, that they haven’t been able to do in years.

3. Where did you grow up/where is your family from?

I grew up in Shawano, Wis.

4. What's the hottest trend in your industry?

I continue to be amazed at the many changes in joint replacement technology.
