Is your 11 to 13-year-old interested in babysitting? This program will discuss how babysitting is a business and what your child will need to do to be a safe and successful babysitter. Topics for the class include accepting the jobs that are right for your child, child care essentials, infant and child choking rescue, first-aid, behavior management and safety. This program is taught by LifeSpan Educators. Participants are to bring a healthy snack, lunch and beverages. There are many dates on which this class is offered. Kids Keys to Safety
Does your 9 to 12-year old ever stay home alone? Sign him or her up to attend the Kids Keys to Safety class on June 27, 2013. This program is taught by a LifeSpan Educator, and is geared toward children who may come home to an empty house after school or may begin staying home alone for short periods of time. It provides information to children on how to keep safe while they are home alone. Topics such as home safety, privileges and responsibilities are discussed so the child will feel prepared and comfortable. The parents do not attend this class.
